Mayor Vilmar inspects resurfacing works on main roads in Aparecida

Work began at the beginning of April and is part of the 100-year Aparecida Investment Program that will invest R$505 million in works throughout the city

The mayor of Aparecida de Goiânia, Vilmar Mariano, and the Secretary of Infrastructure, Mário Vilela, inspected on the morning of this Monday, 8th, the resurfacing works on the city’s avenues. More than 300 kilometers of asphalt network will be recovered in all regions of Aparecida.

“The resurfacing is part of the infrastructure work to improve the city’s road network and provide safety and mobility for drivers. We start here at Avenidas Rudá, Rio Verde, Tapajós and V5. And we are going to take the service to all neighborhoods”, commented Mayor Vilmar as he walked along Avenida V-5, one of the avenues covered by the resurfacing.

As informed by the mayor, the resurfacing service is part of the R$505 million investment package of the Aparecida 100 Years Program, launched in March, and which will carry out the paving of 17 neighborhoods, construction of culverts, structuring axes and the resurfacing of dozens of neighborhoods.

Among the main streets and avenues to be resurfaced are, for example, Avenida V-5 (Vera Cruz City); Avenida Rio Verde from Buriti Shopping to the Post Office; Avenida das Bandeiras (Vila Brasília); Avenida São João (Jardim Nova Era); Rua Ribeirão Preto (Vila Mariana); and Avenida Uru, in the Afonsos Sector, among others.

“These works, which cover different regions of the city, aim to improve the durability of the asphalt, providing better mobility conditions and urban infrastructure”, stated the Secretary of Infrastructure, Mário Vilela.

Works included in this stage

With financing from the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), works will be carried out to complete four of the five new structuring axes in the east-west direction that are in progress, paving in several neighborhoods such as Vila Delfiore, Vila Romana, Jardim Cascata and Dom Bosco II, Buriti Sereno 1st Stage, Jardim Tropical, Serra das Brisas, Garavelo, Residencial Park, Goiânia Park Sul, Rosa do Sul and Chácara Santa Luzia, Conde dos Arcos, Village Garavelo, Solar Central Park, Jardim Esplanada and Jardim Cristal.

This phase of the Aparecida 100 Anos investment program also includes the construction of culverts in the Parques e Jardins region, in the Serra Dourada Sector, and in the Independência and Pontal Sul neighborhoods; Residencial Cândido de Queiroz; Parque Itália with Miramar/Nova Olinda; Wind rose; meeting of the region of the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) with the Polo Empresarial Goiás; Florence Garden with Champs Elysées; and Expansul with Eldorado.

In addition to the completion of the Madre-Germana/Jardim Tiradentes Structuring Axis; carrying out new works under the Small Works Big Results paving program; and resurfacing with milling on more than 300 kilometers of various streets and avenues in the city.
