Riyadh hosts the World Cup Show Jumping and Dressage Championships

Tomorrow, the capital, Riyadh, will host the 45th edition of the World Cup of Show Jumping and Dressage 2024, with the participation of 51 male and female riders and 60 horses representing 24 countries, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East, during the period from April 17 to 20.
The current edition witnesses an exceptional increase in the financial prizes for the crowned champions, the largest in the history of the tournament, as it was scheduled to reach 5.2 million riyals, reaching 10.3 million riyals, as the first day’s activities, which are held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, begin with the grand prize round in Dressage, followed by a speed race in show jumping (height – 1.60 metres), concluding with a show for the fans presented by Spaniard Santi Serra.
The list of riders in show jumping includes 34 male and female riders, led by the Swedish champion Henrik von Eckermann, the German Isabelle Werth, the Swiss Steve Gerda, the Frenchmen Julien Ebaillard, and Kent Farrington, in addition to the Saudis Ramzi Al-Dahami, Khaled Al-Mubti, and Abdullah Al-Sharbatly.
The list of dressage riders also includes 17 male and female knights, led by the German trio Isabelle Firth, Matthias Rath, and Raphael Nitze, and the American trio Benjamin Ebeling, Kevin Kohman, and Anna Marek.
Tournament visitors will enjoy many accompanying activities in the Events Village, where the village will witness live artistic performances, various workshops, educational and artistic activities, and entertainment games, in addition to having a unique experience in the shopping areas, shops, and photography area.
It is noteworthy that the organizing committee has prepared an integrated media center, which includes a press conference hall, and specialists who provide news services professionally to various local and international media outlets, with the presence of more than 150 media professionals representing 10 Arab and international countries to cover the tournament.
