The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced this Thursday that Fenerbahçe was fined 115 thousand euros for abandoning the Turkish Football Super Cup game against Galatasaray on Sunday. The Istanbul team left the match in protest against alleged injustices.
Fenerbahçe decided, for the same reason, to present eleven athletes from its under-19 squad for this game against Galatasaray.
After conceding a goal in the first minute of the game, the Istanbul club’s players immediately returned to the locker room, forcing the match to end.
As a consequence, the TFF decided that Galatasaray won 3-0 and fined Fenerbahçe 115 thousand euros for abandonment.
