During the meeting, Al-Qosir stressed that agriculture is at the forefront of the Egyptian state’s priorities, and that it has witnessed unprecedented achievements and renaissance during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi due to its importance in achieving food security for citizens, which is part of national security.

The Minister of Agriculture said that Egypt has the two largest centers for agricultural research and desert research in the region, and Fahima employs thousands of researchers, praising their efforts in serving Egyptian agriculture and agricultural scientific research. He stressed to the young researchers that everyone is partners in achieving success, and asked them to pay attention to applied research related to the nation’s issues and the state’s directives.

He praised the efforts of researchers in supporting the system of food security and exports, as well as protecting and developing livestock, and in the field of single health (diseases shared between humans and animals). He also reviewed the priorities of the next phase, which should be the focus of researchers’ attention to maximize the benefit from the limited land and water units, noting that the research Scientific is the solution to increase productivity in light of limited natural resources.

The Minister of Agriculture directed attention to continuous training and preparing new cadres of young researchers to assume responsibility in the future.
