The Minister of Transport inspects the concrete flanges factory in Al-Masara… and has breakfast with the workers

The Minister: The factory’s production capacity is 550 thousand francs annually… and the factory saves 50% of the costs of importing them from abroad
The Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, inspected the concrete flanges factory in the Maasara area, affiliated with the Egyptian Company for the Construction and Maintenance of Transport and Airport Facilities, one of the companies of the Ministry of Transport, which was established and operated within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to localize the transportation industry in Egypt, including the flange industry.
The minister said that this factory is considered one of the four factories specialized in the field of flange manufacturing in Egypt, which was established within the plan to localize this industry in implementation of presidential directives.
During his inspection tour, the Minister reviewed with the company president and the factory manager the capabilities of the large factory, which was established on an area of ​​40 thousand square meters in the Al-Ma’asra area, and includes several buildings, including (the administrative headquarters – the central laboratory – the main warehouses), in addition to the presence of storage and processing yards with an area of ​​7 thousand square meters. Square.
The Minister of Transport referred to cooperation with the Italian company WEGH Group, which is the best company in the world for producing flanges, to install the production line in the factory, and cooperation with 3 Egyptian companies to produce iron for the reinforcement of flanges, in addition to producing all the requirements for producing flanges entirely locally.
During his tour, the Minister saw the production stages of the factory, stressing its importance within the framework of the state’s endeavor to maximize local manufacturing, reduce imports, and provide job opportunities, in addition to the trend towards export after meeting the needs of the local market, especially since the factory was established using the latest international systems and with Egyptian hands to localize this industry. Using 100% Egyptian raw materials.
The Minister of Transport said, in press statements, according to the ministry’s statement on Thursday, that the factory’s production capacity is about 550,000 flanges annually, as these flanges were previously imported from abroad, which represents a huge burden, as the costs of producing them in Egypt now save approximately 50% of the costs. Imported from abroad.
The Minister of Transport also participated, in the presence of the former Minister of Transport, Hani Dahi, the Chairman of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, Major General Hossam El-Din Mustafa, the Chairman of the National Authority for Tunnels, Major General Tariq Gowaili, the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Projects for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport, Major General Adel Turk, and the President The Executive Director of the Holding Company for Roads, Bridges, and Land Transport Projects, Ali Ayyad, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Company for the Construction and Maintenance of Transport and Airport Facilities, Engineer, Sobhi Rabie, workers at the annual breakfast ceremony organized by the company at the headquarters of the concrete flanges factory in the Al-Maasra area.
The Minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out the need for all employees of the factory, including technicians, workers and engineers, to continue all efforts to improve the work system within the company, and to maintain the provision of the product to the highest international standards.
During the annual breakfast ceremony, the Minister of Transport handed over certificates of honor to a group of distinguished people working within the company for their efforts during the year 2023.
