ISNA: The Ministry of Defense of the Taliban announced targeting Pakistan’s military centers in the border areas.

The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan’s caretaker government announced on Monday that in response to Pakistan’s early morning airstrikes on 2 points in this country, it has targeted Pakistan’s military centers in the border areas.

This ministry called Pakistan’s attack an “aggressive” act on Afghan soil and said: “The country’s defense forces are ready to respond to any aggressive acts and will defend their territorial integrity in any case.”

According to Kabul, Pakistani fighters attacked areas in Khost and Paktika this morning, killing eight people.

This attack took place after the Pakistan Army announced on Sunday that seven soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack on the post of its soldiers in North Waziristan, located on the border with Afghanistan.

TOLOnews also claimed today, quoting an informed source, that “following a clash between Islamic Emirate forces and Pakistani soldiers along the Durand border point in Paktia district, three Pakistani soldiers were injured.”

This source said that the Taliban have carried out an artillery attack on “Pakistani military posts in Burki region on the other side of the border”.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of Afghanistan’s caretaker government, said to Pakistan today: “Such attacks are a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and will have bad consequences, which this country will not be able to control.”

The senior Taliban official also asked the new government of Pakistan “not to disrupt the relations between the two countries due to the “fearless” actions of a few military generals, and this country should not blame Kabul for its inability.”
