73 People Report Coldplay Ticket Fraud

JAKARTA, BALIPOST.com – A total of 73 people who felt cheated because they did not receive tickets to the concert of the British band Coldplay at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) today even though they had already purchased them reported them to the police.

“It’s true that 73 people have come to report to the Police. “So it’s not because the ticket is fake, but they bought it but didn’t get a ticket,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Central Jakarta Metro Police, Police Commissioner Chandra Mata Rohansyah when contacted in Jakarta, quoted by Antara news agency, Wednesday (15/11).

Chandra said that based on reports received by his party, the ticket sellers bought Coldplay tickets from other buyers (resellers). So, the seller continues to communicate with the person selling Coldplay tickets.

Apart from that, the seller also continues to communicate with buyers and continues to try to return the buyer’s money or compensate for their losses.

“The person selling the tickets has also communicated with the victims. Well, these buyers have also communicated. “But whatever the story, the losses must be reimbursed because some of the buyers asked for their money to be returned,” explained Chandra.

Chandra said that currently his party is still checking the total losses from the ticket victims and is trying to calm the victims who feel they have been aggrieved because they failed to get tickets to the Coldplay concert.

A trending post on X’s social media related to Coldplay concert ticket fraud. The upload contains a story about a woman with the initials GDA committing fraud against potential audiences (customers) by selling concert tickets.

“Dear All customers, and my customers personally, I apologize profusely for the incident that happened to all of us today. “I am informing all my friends that our supplier Ghisca Debora Aritonang has committed a scam/fraud against all of us by selling free concert tickets,” wrote the broadcast uploaded to the X account.

From the description of the upload, a woman named Ghisca was declared a suspect in the biggest scam case. “Information is circulating that Ghisca is now a suspect in the biggest fraud case by selling tickets up to a nominal value of 15 million. “From now on, we, the resellers, will try our best to follow up on this case so that the party concerned takes full responsibility,” was quoted from the post.

Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Dwi Hardono, confirmed that there were victims of Coldplay concert ticket fraud who had reported it to the Central Jakarta Metro Police. “So far, only a few victims have come and made an LP (police report) to the Central Jakarta Metro Police,” he said.

The Coldplay concert will be held this Wednesday night. It is estimated that around 80 thousand spectators will fill the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Central Jakarta to watch Coldplay hold a concert for the first time in Indonesia. (Kmb/Balipost)
