Dr. Shukr Abdel Salam, Director of the Central Pesticides Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, confirmed that the laboratory continues to receive samples of Egyptian agricultural exports, in addition to samples of food received during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, 24 hours a day.
He said, in a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture today, that this comes within the framework of the directives of Mr. Al-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Adel Abdel Azim, Head of the Agricultural Research Center, within the national role that the laboratory plays to ensure the flow of Egyptian agricultural exports.
He pointed out that the laboratory applies a robust system that enables it to issue certificates with the results of various samples within only 24 hours from the date of receiving them, which is an important precedent and for the first time in the history of the field of analysis of pesticide residues and pollutants in Egypt, which supports the process of advancing Egyptian agricultural exports and increasing their opportunities in Access to global markets, and aiming to increase the source of them in light of the strategy of the state and the Ministry of Agriculture to maximize the import of hard currency, by creating a distinguished reputation for all Egyptian agricultural exports.
He revealed that the laboratory applied for the first time the “QR code” system to secure sample analysis certificates issued by the laboratory, which is considered a breakthrough in the field of digital conversion in the Ministry of Agriculture.
