Dr. Saad Moussa, Supervisor of Foreign Agricultural Relations and Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine, directed workers at quarantine outlets and various departments in Egyptian ports to work around the clock to facilitate the reception of Egyptian agricultural products to foreign markets.
This came in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Al-Quseir, to work on official holidays, as agricultural quarantine facilitates the flow of Egyptian agricultural exports to global markets.
On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, agricultural quarantine engineers received all agricultural shipments exported to various countries of the world, and all related work was completed to the fullest extent, according to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday.
Moussa stressed that the continuation of work during the days of Eid comes within the framework of the mandates of the Minister of Agriculture and the Egyptian state’s keenness to commit to facilitating the flow of Egyptian agricultural goods to countries of the world and to enhance our exports from various sectors, especially the agricultural sector.
The agricultural sector was among the most important export sectors for the year 2024 in order to increase the Egyptian national income, as it came in second place after the building materials sector, during the first quarter of this year, according to the report of the General Authority for Export and Import Control.
