Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the Ministry of Manpower continues to monitor THR payments

JAKARTA, BALIPOST.com – The Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) continues to monitor the implementation of religious Holiday Allowance (THR) payments in various regions, where payments are made no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr.

In an online roll call from Jakarta, Monday, the Director General of Industrial Relations Development and Social Security (PHI and Jamsos) of the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, asked Ministry of Manpower officials in various regions to support the implementation of supervision of THR payments ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

This was done after the Ministry of Manpower opened the THR Command Post following the publication of the Minister of Manpower Circular Letter Number M/2/HK.04/III/2024 concerning the Implementation of Providing 2024 Religious Holiday Allowances for Workers/Labourers in Companies on March 15 2024.

“Let me appeal to all ladies and gentlemen that we must all support the implementation or implementation of this THR properly and effectively as stated in the Minister of Manpower’s SE. “This service does not only belong to the Directorate General of PHI and Social Security or Binwasnaker but should be supported by all work unit employees at the Ministry of Manpower,” he said, quoted from the Antara news agency, Monday (1/4).

He advised all elements, including those working in various centers in Indonesia under the Ministry of Manpower, to participate in monitoring the implementation of THR payments by increasing coordination and collaboration with the Manpower Department in various regions of the country.

“Hopefully you can also remind your partners to organize or carry out THR payments on time as mandated by the Minister of Manpower’s SE, that THR payments must be given to workers no later than 7 days before Idul Fitri,” he said.

He also reminded about the THR appeal for online workers such as online transportation drivers or online motorcycle taxis (ojol) and couriers who use online platforms.

Even though it is not mandatory, because it is an advisory, Indah said that giving THR to workers in partnership relationships such as ojol and online couriers can be done through various types of incentives and conveniences. (Kmb/Balipost)
