During the ongoing European Games, the competition in one of the beloved disciplines of all Poles, i.e. ski jumping, began. After Wednesday’s weather false start, Thursday’s morning jumps, however, brought a lot of disappointment considering the fact that in Zakopane the field does not seem to be full and the strongest in the world.
The special guest of our next episode of the European Games Magazine is the president of the highly medal-winning Polish Canoe Association Grzegorz Kotowicz. Traditionally, he has something to be proud of after the end of the sprint competitions that took place at Zalew Kryspinów, awaiting further achievements in mountain competitions that are ongoing in the Kolna resort.
President Kotowicz precisely analyzes what Polish canoeing managed to do properly during the Małopolska event, and where there are still reserves and who needs to work even harder before the upcoming events this year and next year’s Olympics in Paris.
Paradoxically, our two-time Olympic bronze medalist, world and European champion has a lot in common with the second main theme of our broadcast because after the end of his sports career, he became the director of the Central Sports Center in Szczyrk, actively participating in the renovation and construction of ski jumping hills, and necessarily having ongoing contact with the environment of our aces of the sky. Grzegorz Kotowicz also illuminates the situation in the matter of whether we can wait for the construction of a ski flying hill in our country.
Our jumping stars in both winter and summer editions in our exclusive materials from the training camp in Zakopane present their vision and philosophy in connection with the start on plastic matting in such an unusual period in the jumping calendar.
