Ayodhya (Uttam Hindu News): Only two days are left for Ram Navami. In such a situation, Ayodhya is getting ready for large-scale crowd control, even more than the crowd seen during Pran Pratistha in January.
Police officers deployed in Ayodhya have been asked to work 24-hour long shifts for the Ram Navami celebrations starting midnight on April 16.
Chief Secretary DS Mishra said that the government is expecting the arrival of around 25 lakh devotees.
He said the health department has been directed to deploy ambulances in all main areas, while all hospitals are on alert mode. He said that temporary health centers have been set up at 12 places and they will be equipped with all necessary medicines and facilities.
For crowd control and convenience of devotees, large LED screens are being installed in Ayodhya and live streaming will be done from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple in the parking areas. Security personnel will be on duty round the clock in the temple premises and fair area. CCTV coverage of the entire area will be done round the clock. These should be used to monitor the movement of devotees, traffic control and crowd assessment.
He further said that 24 automatic number-plate recognition cameras have been installed in Ayodhya and cameras installed on the borders of Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur and Barabanki districts will be monitored to get an assessment of visitors entering the city.
