Patna. Bihar government has given gifts to government employees before Durga Puja. The proposal to give charge to promoteable government employees has been approved in the state cabinet meeting.
After the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat S Siddhartha said that a total of eight proposals have been approved in this meeting.
He informed that under the General Administration Department in Bihar, the Cabinet has given approval to give executive charge to eligible personnel on promotion posts in state services. SC-ST employees will be given quota within the quota in promotion.
Additional Chief Secretary said that the case of promotion of state employees is pending in the Supreme Court. Under this, the state government used to get the work done by giving charge to the employees in its own pay scale as an executive system. After this decision, the higher post holders will be given the pay scale of the same higher post by the state government.
Under this, 17 percent posts of SC-ST will be reserved and promoted. 16 percent will be reserved for SC category employees and one percent will be reserved for ST category employees. About 5 lakh government servants will benefit from this decision of the government.
He told that in the meeting, under the centrally sponsored ‘Special Infrastructure Scheme’ (year 2022-26) in the militancy affected states, Rs 37 crore 83 lakh will be given for the upgradation and strengthening of the task force and the district police force of the militancy affected districts.
Bihar government will buy paddy from farmers. The proposal to provide a total loan of Rs 8 thousand crore to the institutions related to procurement for Rabi crop in the financial year 2023-24 has been approved.
