Bursa Metropolitan Municipality delivered holiday support checks to 50 thousand retirees

The 1,500 TL support checks provided by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality to those who applied for the ‘Pensioner Holiday Support Check’ project were delivered to a total of 50 thousand retirees.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which has set the best examples of social municipality in Bursa, continues to support retired citizens with cash holiday support. The Metropolitan Municipality, which launched the ‘Festival Support Check for Pensioners’ project in the past months, delivered 1,500 TL cash support to 50 thousand retirees who applied and whose salaries are below 20 thousand TL. Support checks were personalized to citizens and sent to their phones via SMS. Within the scope of the project, support checks will be delivered to a total of 100 thousand retirees until Ramadan Feast.

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş announced that in addition to the 25 percent discounts they will apply in the new period, they have delivered the first of the 1,500 TL cash aid that they announced to provide twice a year to retirees, and said: We delivered support checks of 1,500 TL to 50 thousand retirees. Expenditure codes, which were valid for a single occupational group in our previous social support projects, will be valid in many areas this time. In order to provide convenience to our retirees, the checks will be valid in 905 contracted neighborhood grocery stores, 554 clothing and shoe stores and 324 stationery stores among our BESOB registered member businesses. These spending codes, which can be used until April 21, 2024, will be valid at a total of 1,783 contracted member businesses. Applications for the holiday support voucher, which will support 100 thousand retirees worth 150 million TL, continue until March 31, 2024. Thanks to this project, we are providing support worth approximately 150 million TL to the market before the holiday.
