10 signatures are sufficient to call the 50-person board to a meeting. For the meeting to take place, 26 people must be present. It was stated that the pulse was checked for the meeting call. It is said in the party lobbies that if Meral Akşener does not say “no” to this initiative, GİK may convene.

It is stated that those who want to continue the extraordinary congress with Akşener are planning to postpone it, but if Akşener does not allow this, it will be fruitless.

Another topic of discussion is the removal of the congress authority given to the chairman by the party charter by the board. There are a large number of people within the party who think that GİK will not have this authority. But for some of them, the most authoritative body after the congress is GİK. That’s why he thinks his decision will be valid.

“I am honored by Meral Akşener’s support.” At the extraordinary congress, candidate Müsavat Dervişoğlu gave this answer to the questions whether he received support from Akşener. It is claimed that behind the scenes, the Chairman of the İYİ Party called some members of the party organization and said, “Stand behind Müsavat Dervişoğlu.”

There is also a big brother formula being talked about behind the scenes. The elder brother formula is being tried for the name who will serve as the chairman during the transition period after the extraordinary congress until the ordinary congress. It is said that after the congress with multiple candidates, someone who will reduce polarization may take over, and even “the big brother formula may be the last exit before the bridge for the İYİ Party.”

Cihan Paçacı’s name was mentioned for this formula. Müsavat Dervişoğlu’s statements on this issue also attracted attention. “If there is a big brother formula, I am willing to take the İYİ Party ship safely to the port.”

However, it is emphasized that those who are considering the elder brother formula behind the scenes do not find Dervişoğlu’s words convincing, and that the person who will serve as elder brother during the transition period should declare in advance that he will not be a candidate at the regular congress.
