Central Grants Never Disbursed, Two Broken Roads Handled by Regional Funds

BANGLI, BALIPOST.com – The Bangli Regency Government plans to immediately repair two of the eight road points that were damaged due to the 2021 natural disaster, with regional funds. Repairs using regional funds were designed because until now there is no certainty when the rehabilitation and reconstruction (RR) grant funds from the central government will be disbursed.

The two road points that are planned to be repaired immediately are the collapsed road on the Bebalang-Tamanbali road, precisely in Banjar Sidawa, Tamanbali Village, and the collapsed road on the Penalahan-Pukuh road. In connection with this plan, the Bangli Regency Government, through the Public Works Service and BPBD, returned to these two road points on Friday (26/1).

The Head of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Division of BPBD Damkar, Bangli Regency, Sang Ketut Supriadi, confirmed that his party together with the PUPerkim Service went to the location to re-check the condition of the damaged road. It was acknowledged that this check was related to the district government’s plan to immediately handle the damage to the road with regional funds.

Supriadi explained that to repair eight road points that were damaged due to natural disasters several years ago, the District Government through BPBD had submitted a proposal for rehabilitation and reconstruction (RR) grant funds to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). Based on the information he received, the proposed RR grant funds have been approved and have now been submitted to the Ministry of Finance. Of the total of 68 regencies and cities in Indonesia that submitted proposals for RR funding grants to BNPB, Bangli is included in the 20 regencies/cities whose proposals entered stage I to be processed at the Ministry of Finance.

However, until now there has been no certainty from the center when the funds will be disbursed. Supriadi said, in a recent coordination meeting, it was conveyed that there were changes to the PMK which resulted in the grant funds not being disbursed.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bangli Regency PUPRPerkim Service, Dewa Widnyana Maya, said his team went to the location of the collapsed road yesterday to re-inventory the current conditions. “After this we will carry out a planning review process and then report it to the regent so that it can be handled as quickly as possible,” said Dewa Maya.
