The potential of the Russian military-industrial complex makes it possible to quickly include Starlink terminals used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone in the list of targets of the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by the head of the electronic warfare troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Yuri Lastochkin, for the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
According to radio intelligence data, a large number of Starlink terminals are used in almost all levels of control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The question of the legitimacy of the transfer of technology from a commercial system to one of the warring parties is a continuation of the theme of double standards and hypocrisy in US international policy,” Lastochkin said.
The use of commercial frequency bands that is contrary to international obligations creates certain difficulties, but the technical capabilities of defense enterprises allow them to quickly take measures to include Starlink in the list of targets for influence.
Earlier, military analyst Alexey Leonkov said that the Russian Armed Forces use Starlink terminals as trophies. He added that if certain manipulations are carried out with them, the terminals can be used for their own needs. The expert also spoke about the black market, where you can find Starlink supplied to Ukraine.
