Dismissed from the DPD RI and asked to pack up, Arya Wedakarna waits for the Supreme Court’s decision

DENPASAR, BALIPOST.com – DPD RI through letter number RT.01/215/DPDRI/Ill/2024 concerning the termination of financial, administrative and other facility rights, advised Arya Wedakarna to collect goods at the office until March 12 2024.

Regarding the letter, Arya Wedakarna as Member of the DPD RI from Bali confirmed that he would not pack goods from the DPD RI Bali Office until there was a final decision declaring him guilty.

“Everywhere we are waiting for the Supreme Court to decide, before that happens, I’m still the people’s representative, right? There’s no PAW (inter-term replacement) for me,” said AWK, as he is known, in Denpasar, Tuesday (19/3) quoted from Antara News Agency.

The letter refers to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 P of 2024 dated February 22 that Dr. Shri Arya Wedakarna, MWS., SE, (M.TRU) has received the official dismissal as a member of the DPD RI and member of the MPR RI.

However, until now the members of the two periods have been reluctant to follow directions and remain in their offices, even carrying out the duties of DPD RI members as usual.

“We will see that the AWK office is still there, there are my staff, many people still come, then I am also still active and have to be confident because I haven’t stepped in yet,” he said.

Arya Wedakarna admitted that he was still processing his complaint at the Jakarta PTUN which did not receive the letter of dismissal sent by the DPD RI Honorary Board (BK).

Currently the complaint files have been passed by the PTUN and it is planned that a hearing will be held next Wednesday to discuss the problem.

“On trial tomorrow, I will go to Jakarta. “In the PTUN, it is more about administrative files because we consider the BK DPD RI’s decision to be legally flawed and the process is very fast as if it was designed,” he said.

He does not mind the public’s scorn for being reluctant to follow central directives, according to him this is part of education if someone feels legally disadvantaged.

AWK hopes that later his lawsuit at the PTUN will be granted, so that the decision to dismiss him from BK DPD RI will be revoked and his name will be restored.

For your information, on February 2, BK DPD RI based on article 48 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of DPD RI Regulation Number 1 of 2021 decided and determined that the defendant Dr. Shri IGN Arya Wedakarna MWS III, SE, (M.Tru), M.Sc., a member of the DPD RI from Bali Province was proven to have violated the oath/promise of office and the code of ethics and/or regulations of the DPD RI as regulated in the MD3 Law with sanctions weight of permanent dismissal as a member of DPD RI.
