Patna . In the first phase in Bihar, voting is to be held on April 19 for four Lok Sabha seats Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui. An election fight is being expected between NDA and Grand Alliance candidates on all these seats.

On all these seats, RJD candidates are in the electoral fray from the Grand Alliance, while from NDA, BJP candidates are contesting in Aurangabad and Nawada. At the same time, Hindustani Awam Morcha candidates are trying their luck in Gaya and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidates from Jamui.

In the first phase of election battle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav addressed the election rally in support of their respective candidates.

Hindustani Awam Morcha’s candidate from Gaya Lok Sabha seat, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, is contesting from Kumar Sarvjit, who was a minister in the Bihar government. Both are working hard for their respective victories. Last Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in support of Jitan Ram Manjhi.

In Jamui too, a tough election contest is being considered between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. From Jamui Lok Sabha constituency, Arun Bharti of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) of NDA and RJD candidate of Grand Alliance Archana Ravidas are face to face. Arun Bharti is the brother-in-law of Chirag Paswan. Chirag Paswan may be contesting elections from Hajipur but he is also sweating hard for Jamui.

Sushil Kumar Singh is contesting the elections on BJP ticket from Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat. His direct contest is being considered with RJD’s Abhay Kushwaha. Abhay was earlier in JDU and shortly after the elections, he changed the party and joined RJD.

In Nawada region also, a contest is being considered between NDA and Grand Alliance, but independent candidates are trying to make this fight triangular. NDA has fielded BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur from here. Thakur senior BJP leader C.P. Thakur’s son. RJD was earlier giving ticket to Vinod Yadav here, but at the last moment the party gave the ticket to Shravan Kumar. This angered Vinod Yadav and he contested the elections as an independent candidate. The contest has become interesting due to the support of RJD MLA from Nawada and Rajauli.
