Eroded by rainwater, the Jumpai-Dukuh Nyuh Aya road is cut off

SEMARAPURA, BALIPOST.com – The large amount of water discharge during rain in the last few months has damaged district road access in a number of villages. One of them is the district road access that connects Jumpai Village-Dukuh Nyuh Aya (Gelgel Village), Klungkung District. This road access was eroded by rainwater until it was cut off, so it had to be temporarily closed by the PUPRPKP Service so as not to endanger road users.

Local residents have long complained about the damage to this road access, because the damage is very serious. A number of residents then reported the condition of this road access to the Acting Regent of Klungkung I Nyoman Jendrika, so that it could immediately be handled by the relevant agencies. Head of the Klungkung PUPRPKP Service, I Made Jati Laksana, also took the initiative to go directly to check the real conditions at the location, Tuesday (16/4).

The damage to this road access was recognized as quite serious, so it was immediately treated. The condition is no longer passable by vehicles. To prevent road users from having accidents at the damage point, his party has installed damaged road signs near the location, as a warning sign. “After we checked directly at the location, road access had indeed been cut off. “Hopefully there will be a budget in the revised APBD, because the repair costs are quite high,” explained Jati Laksana.

Even though the condition of this road access is very bad, according to him, two-wheeled vehicles can still use it from the side of the road. Because to the north of this access road, it is said that there are a number of residents who live and often use this access road. To repair the total damage to this road access, Jati Laksana emphasized that the work requires a budget of around IDR 200 million, because a permanent channel must be made to direct irrigation water.

However, his party cannot confirm whether the repair process can be carried out directly this year. Because, you must first check the availability of budget that can be allocated for improvements in this year’s Revised APBD. “We hope that residents who usually use this road access will be patient. We will still try to improve it. “Because this access road is a district road,” he stressed.

Apart from this access road, his party is also checking damaged district road access in other villages. So far, the only reports that have come in are access to the Jumpai-Dukuh road. He hopes that damage to road access due to rainwater will not occur in other areas. ( Bagiarta/Balipost )
