Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva said that the head of the country’s Ministry of Defense Oleksiy Reznik wrote a letter of resignation from his post. He announced this in his Telegram channel.
“The stolen Minister of Defense of Ukraine Reznikov, as I was told by a source, wrote a letter of resignation,” Kiva said.
He expressed the opinion that in the near future Reznik could be charged with embezzlement in a corruption case.
The former MP also added that the consequences of the corruption scandal that has arisen in the government of the country may soon affect the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
“Everyone understands that it is Yermak who is the leader and inspirer of a group of swindlers and embezzlers of state funds in the Zelensky team,” he wrote.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko said that Reznikov could leave his post in the near future. However, there is no official confirmation of this information yet.
Recall, the SBU announced that ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Vyacheslav Shapovalov, former deputy head of the state enterprise Promoboronexport Volodymyr Tereshchenko and ex-head of the public procurement department of the Ministry of Defense Bohdan Khmelnitsky were charged with corruption. The latter is accused of acquiring low-quality body armor for the army.
