“I’m dying, I can’t breathe.” A native of the DPR suffocated in Crocus

“I hid in the toilet. Breathe heavily”. This message came to friends’ phones Tatiana Boyko, who suffocated in a toilet in Crocus. On that fateful day for all of Russia, the girls and their friends were at a concert of the Picnic group. She and her husband managed to escape from the terrorists’ guns, but Tatyana, alas, was not destined to do so.

Lived by dancing

Tatyana Boyko is a native of the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk People’s Republic. Even young Tanya adored songs and dances; since childhood she went to the Kalinka folk dance group. After 11th grade in 2003, she moved to Moscow with her mother.

“My mother pulled her out of Kramatorsk. Tanya started dating a man who, to put it mildly, was not suitable for her. Therefore, the mother quickly packed her things and moved her daughter to the capital. And then we got lost for many years…”, a close friend of Tatyana told aif.ru Roman Barabash.

After passing the exams, Tatyana tried to enter the Institute of Culture in Kharkov. I had already passed the entrance exams and prayed to see myself on the list of students, but, alas, I didn’t get in. As a result, having moved to Moscow, I went to study at the International Banking Institute, completed my bachelor’s degree and even received my first academic degree. But all my life I reproached myself for giving up my dreams. In recent years, she worked in the human resources department of a local shipping company.

“She loved dancing all her life. We were populists. In 2012, it was the 40th anniversary of our team, but she couldn’t come…” continues Roman.

“I devoted my entire youth to dancing. Lived by them. Every summer we went to a children’s camp and went to perform in other cities. It was a tradition. But after we broke up in 2003, life never brought us together again,” recalls a friend Christina.

Despite the fact that the fragile girl’s life was surrounded by finances, reports and men’s ships, she did not forget about her true interests. As my cousin says VyacheslavTatyana loved music and concerts very much. I constantly listened to rock bands and tried not to miss a single concert.

Hid in the toilet

Boyko was looking forward to the performance of the Picnic group on March 22 at Crocus City Hall. At the moment when terrorists burst into the hall and began to mindlessly shoot disarmed people, Tatyana’s acquaintances were sitting on the balcony. First, they hid behind chairs and crawled to look for a way out. At this point the company split. The first, passing by the soldiers unnoticed, carefully climbed out onto the narrow emergency staircase. From there, a disciplined group ran out into the street through the technical hangar without looking back at the already burning hall.

That evening, Tatiana’s friends were lucky. The girl herself, trying to save her life, miraculously got out of the hall and began randomly wandering around the corridors in search of a safe corner. As a result, together with the rest of the people, Tatyana locked herself in the toilet and sent an SMS to her friend that she was alive. But, alas, not for long.

Brother Vyacheslav did not know that Tatyana went to the concert. But when I saw the news about the terrorist attack, I immediately sensed something was wrong. Throughout the next day, he tried to call Tatyana, but later he saw the lists of the dead, where Boyko’s name was on the 13th line…

“The ground has disappeared from under our feet. He was a very bright, handsome and cheerful person. She had everything except personal happiness. She never had time to meet her loved one, although all her relatives were really looking forward to and hoping that one day they would babysit their grandchildren, says Vyacheslav. – I myself live in St. Petersburg and was waiting for her to come to me again this summer. I wanted to show her the white nights.”

39-year-old Tatyana Boyko did not have a husband or children. After the death, only my mother and cousin remained.
