Innovations in the field of ecology. Nominees for the Ecotech Leader 2024 Award have been announced

The organizing committee of the IV national award in the field of environmental technologies “Ecotech Leader 2024” summed up the results of the first stage of consideration of competitive projects. At this intermediate stage, 13 companies are vying for victory, and a total of almost forty applications were received.

The press center of the award named the top 5 nominations that brought together the most competitors: “Effective management of industrial waste”, “Digital solutions for the environment”, “Environmental initiatives for urban infrastructure”, “Water supply and water resources management”, “Reduction harmful emissions into the atmosphere.”

“For the fourth year, we have been identifying and rewarding the best advanced developments of Russian companies in terms of environmental conservation, digital eco-projects and successful regional environmental solutions. We see how other companies, following our laureates, also treat nature more carefully. Competitive applications of the first qualifying stage are innovative products in the field of ecology. Among them are a ship environmental protection complex, projects to create a comfortable urban environment for owners of environmentally friendly transport, the construction of effective treatment facilities with fundamentally new approaches to the quality of wastewater treatment, a gas converter that allows reducing air pollution by emissions of harmful substances from industrial enterprises, a training platform for training specialists in environmental risk management and many others,” commented Head of the press center of the Ecotech Leader 2024 award Gulnara Paunezheva.

First stage finalists

The finalists of the first qualifying stage of the Ecotech Leader 2024 award were: OPTIKOM company in the ESG Transformation category, Risk Laboratory LLC in the Digital Solutions for Ecology category, SPKS LLC, NAECO group of companies in the Monitoring category Environment”, LLC “Arctic 2020” in the nomination “Effective management of industrial waste”, Siberian Generating Company in the nomination “Environmental Initiatives for Urban Infrastructure”, Siberian Coal Energy Company in the nomination “Water Supply and Water Resources Management”, Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in in the nominations “Water supply and water resources management” and “Environmental monitoring”, a specialized electrochemical laboratory in the nominations “Effective management of industrial waste” and “Non-contamination and proper disposal of hazardous waste”, EcoPoint LLC in the nominations “Environmental initiatives for urban infrastructure” and “Digital Solutions for Ecology”, “WETER” LLC in the nominations “Alternative Energy and Sustainable Development of Hydropower and Other Renewable Energy Sources” and “Environmental Initiatives for Urban Infrastructure”, Yatagan Engineering LLC in the nominations and “Environmental Initiatives for Urban Infrastructure”, EKF in the nominations “Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” and “Digital Solutions for the Environment”, Softlogic in the nominations “Collection and Processing of MSW” and “Digital Solutions for the Environment”.

The competition is held with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

Last year’s winners included 30 companies out of over two hundred applicants.

The summing up and ceremony of awarding the laureates will take place in June in Moscow.
