When AK Party Izmir Deputy and Digital Media Commission Member Şebnem Bursalı shared the photo of the meal she ate on her Instagram account, there were many reaction comments on social media.
Following the comments on the post tagging the Monaco Yacht Club, Şebnem Bursalı made a statement on her social media account.
Stating that they are trying to change the agenda to make people forget about the tragedies in Istanbul and Antalya, Bursalı said, “After our intense election campaign, I shared a meal, which is not my custom, at a restaurant where I went to spend the holiday with my family and nephews living abroad, which caused a justified reaction in the public. As a journalist for 30 years and now a member of parliament, I apologize to the public for this mistake, which I have never made in my social media posts. I am deeply saddened that my party, of which I am honored to be a member, and our President, whose path I am honored to walk with every breath, have been targeted for this reason.
While I express my sincere sadness about the food and the issue, which has no malicious intent and has nothing to do with the price written, I also understand very well those who take this as an opportunity to change the agenda to make people forget about the cable car disaster in Antalya!
We also know for what purpose those who did not say a word about the tragic incident in which 29 of our people lost their lives in the heart of Istanbul, and where innocent people lost their lives, were injured and were stranded for hours as a result of apparent negligence in Antalya, distorted this event! I respectfully present to the public” he said.
