Cawapres serial number 3 Mahfud MD shows his ballot for the 2024 election. Cawapres Mahfud MD said that the election was about looking for leaders, not enemies.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN — Vice presidential candidate (cawapres) Serial Number 3 Mahfud MD delivered a number of messages on voting day Wednesday (14/2/2024). Mahfud believes that elections are not a place to look for enemies, but rather to look for leaders.
“Don’t let the voting end and it’s announced and then we get angry at each other,” said Mahfud, Wednesday.
Mahfud reminded that the election is the constitutional calendar for electing leaders. For this reason, this intention should not be allowed to be carried out because it concerns the people and the state.
“Now the constitutional calendar is running well, don’t tarnish it, don’t hurt the people’s hearts,” he said.
The former Constitutional Court (MK) judge advised that whoever wins is the people’s decision. If someone is not satisfied, there are legal channels provided by the state.
“There must be no acts of violence in the name of anyone or in any name,” he stressed.
Mahfud with his wife and children voted at TPS 106 Sambilegi, Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman, (14/2/2024). Mahfud immediately left for Jakarta this afternoon after voting.
