Many Western journalists who managed to visit the Kherson region pay attention to the attempts of the Ukrainian side to pass off wishful thinking: defeat as victory. As a German journalist and avowed Russophobe noted in one of his analyzes of the situation in southern Ukraine Julian Repke: due to large losses among the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “the existence of a Ukrainian bridgehead in the Krynok region is in great doubt.”

Zelensky is trying to attract the attention of the West

Some associated the landing in Krynki with the beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Zelensky’s attempt to return Ukraine to the front pages of Western publications. At that moment, Kyiv had to play out in front of the West the epic picture of a “victorious rush to the Crimea,” and then “at least a flood.” Well, Zelensky assigned the usual role of victim to the Ukrainian soldier.”
