Chandigarh. MP Deepender Hooda raised the issue of inadequate budget allocation in the interim budget for the proposed Rewari AIIMS in Haryana during Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha today and demanded its increase. Thanking the government, he said that it was announced in 2015. But, after 9 years, this year the budget has been allocated for it.
He said that according to the budget given to Rewari AIIMS this year, it will take about 12 years to complete the building of Rewari AIIMS, which is a long time. Therefore, budget allocation should be increased. It should not happen that like other projects, its work also does not move forward. Apart from this, he also demanded allocation of budget for the projects like 10 sanctioned institutes of Badhsa AIIMS, Metro expansion in Haryana, International Airport, sanctioned Indian Defense University of Gurugram etc.
He said that 22 new AIIMS are to be established across the country. AIIMS Rewari was also announced in the year 2015, but it took 9 years to come out of the papers. Rs 6800 crore has been allocated for 22 new AIIMS in the interim budget for the year 2024-25, which is inadequate. According to this, only about Rs 300 crore will come in the share of AIIMS. Which is insufficient for AIIMS Rewari which has already faced a delay of almost a decade. He also said that CAG in its report has stated that the cost of AIIMS is about Rs 3000 crore more than the fixed cost.
Raising the issue of budget allocation for the construction of 10 health institutions of national importance to be built in Badhsa AIIMS-2 expansion complex, he said that apart from NCI, it includes 600-bed National Cardiovascular Centre, 500-bed General Purpose Hospital, 500-bed National Hospital, Transplantation Centre, 500-bed National Center for Child Health, 500-bed Digestive Disease Centre, 200-bed National Institute for Geriatrics, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre, 120-bed Center for Blood Disorders, Center for Laboratory Medicine, National Center for Nursing Education and The research was approved in 2012.
The foundation stone of the National Cancer Institute was laid by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and it is now ready. But like previous years, not a single penny was allocated to the remaining 10 institutions this year too. Similarly, in Haryana, the budget of a new pillar was not given for the expansion of Metro, not a single rupee was given in the budget for the construction of Meham International Airport, Indian Defense University in the last 10 years, Deependra Hooda has not allocated the budget for all these projects. sought to.
