Pasler announced the inadmissibility of rising prices for building materials in the Orenburg region

The governor of the Orenburg region, Denis Pasler, said that an unreasonable increase in prices for building materials and their shortage in conditions when residents of the region need to repair and rebuild their homes after a flood is unacceptable.

“We must not allow an unreasonable rise in prices and a shortage of building materials, because the amount of work ahead is colossal,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Pasler said that he held a meeting with the heads of companies producing building materials and retail chains in Orsk, Gai, Novotroitsk and Orenburg, which was also attended by the economic bloc, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the prosecutor’s office.

The head of the region said that entrepreneurs asked him to lift restrictions on the movement of heavy trucks with construction materials in the spring, to organize a temporary bridge for the delivery of timber from Bashkiria, and to help resolve issues with suppliers.

Pasler promised to work on all their requests.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, during a visit to the Orenburg region on April 7, called for preventing an increase in the cost of building materials, as well as food and basic necessities in the region.

Let us remind you that on April 5, a dam collapsed on the Ural River in Orsk – the city was flooded. On April 11, the governor of the Orenburg region said that in the coming 24 hours, rising water levels in the Ural River could flood 3.5 thousand houses. The next day, Pasler announced that the water level in Orsk was steadily decreasing.
