Prepare disaster management action plan for Shravan Ashtami fair: DC

Bilaspur/Suman Dogra: For the convenience of the devotees during the Shravan Ashtami Navratri fair at Shri Nayana Devi Temple, the officials should prepare a detailed disaster management action plan and present it soon. He issued these instructions while presiding over the meeting organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner for the smooth implementation of various arrangements during the fair at Bachat Bhawan. The Deputy Commissioner said that it is necessary to prepare this action plan keeping in mind the management and smooth implementation of different arrangements during the fair. Under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, the concerned department and the local residents should jointly implement this action plan. He told that 18 sector officers will keep an eye on various arrangements during the fair by dividing the area into nine sectors.
He said that parking places will be constructed to keep the movement of traffic and devotees smooth. Devotees will be able to reach Darshanath temple through taxis. He said that the police and local administration will set up guidance booths for the guidance of the devotees and to maintain proper arrangements during the fair. During this, guidelines were given to the officers of the Food and Supplies Department for quality and testing of essential and food items.
Medical facility booths will be set up at various places for the purpose of making available healthy facilities to the people during the fair, in which the availability of doctors, medicines and first aid equipment will be ensured. Cleanliness should be maintained during the fair and alternative toilets will be established for the purpose of easy availability of toilet and toilet facilities to the people.
He asked the Municipal Council officer to complete all the formalities in this regard and ensure the service. During this, he also instructed the city council officer to make arrangements for the disposal of garbage.
He said that the devotees who set up langar should set up langar at a proper place for which permission from the local administration is necessary. Devotees applying water must ensure that there is no jam, crowd or disorder through it.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Patel, Superintendent of Police Karthikeen Gokulchandran, Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Nayana Devi Dharmapal, Tehsildar Vipin Thakur and officials of various departments and officials and members of the temple trust committee were present in the meeting.
