The Russians were shown the flag of one of the republics of the Russian Federation, which they passed off as Canadian.
Propagandists of the federal Russian “First Channel” issued a ridiculous fake about “Canadian mercenaries” who are fighting on the side of Ukraine.
During one of the propaganda plots, the Russians were shown the flag and coat of arms of Udmurtia, which was passed off as the insignia of “Canadian mercenaries”.
In the footage, a “military officer” approaches a fighter with a blurred face who collects trophies. Tot demonstrates the Russian and Ukrainian chevrons found after the storm.
“Trophies of the “two hundred” Ukrainians were found. Ukrainian chevrons, Canadian chevrons. Canadian chevrons. Coat of arms,” says the Russian occupier, showing the flag and coat of arms of the Udmurt Republic of the Russian Federation to the camera.
A voice-over voice says that “the presence of mercenaries in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has long been no secret.”
As ASTRA notes, the moment with the Udmurt chevrons was broadcast only to the Far Eastern regions. During the show in the central part of Russia, these shots were no longer available.
The latest fake propaganda
Russian propagandists are constantly launching pointless innuendos. Recently, the Russians launched a fake that the head of Ukrainian intelligence is allegedly in a German clinic after being “wounded”. According to them, he is “in a coma.”
On June 18, the German publication Stern, which critics called the primary source of information about Budanov’s wounding, refuted this Russian fake.
On June 19, Budanov commented with a smile on his face to the Kyiv Post publication about the statement of the propaganda media of the Russian Federation about his death. He joked that a “squad of immortals” is being formed in Ukraine, which will haunt Russians in their nightmares.
