PT DI Employees Have Not Received THR and Salaries, West Java Manpower Office Clarifies Management

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG—-The Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertans) of West Java Province (Jabar) revealed that the management of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) guarantees that it will pay 100 percent holiday allowance (THR) to employees. Meanwhile, unpaid salaries for March will be paid in two stages.

“Incidentally, we are a team from the province and Bandung City at PT DI and based on the results of the clarification, thank God, starting yesterday and today PT DI’s THR has been and will be paid,” said Head of Industrial Relations and Social Security for Workers at the West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office Firman Desa when confirmed, Wednesday (3/4/2024).

Firman said that management would pay 100 percent of employees’ THR. However, the unpaid salaries for March will be paid to employees in two stages. “Regarding salaries, based on information, it seems that some will be paid before Eid, and the other part will be paid after Eid,” he said.

According to Firman, the issue of salaries and THR that employees have not received is certain to be resolved. “God willing, (the problem) will be resolved,” he said.

Previously, thousands of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) employees staged a demonstration against management, Tuesday (2/4/2024) morning. They demanded payment of holiday allowances (THR) and March salaries that had not been received to management.

One PT DI employee, Puspita Rumpaka (29 years old) said that PT DI employees had not received their March salaries which should have been paid on March 25. He said employees were only given March salary receipts without any money being transferred to their accounts.

“Without any clear direction, on March 26 2024, management informed that employee salaries were being postponed due to bank processing problems, and would be paid no later than Thursday afternoon, March 28 for staff and no later than April 1 for structural members,” he said when confirmed. Tuesday (2/4/2024).

To this day, he said that employee salaries have not been paid. After holding a meeting with management, Puspita said that the THR would be paid today even though some of it had not been paid to employees.

In addition, salaries in March are only paid 15 percent in April. He felt that the policy was unfair because employees were 100 percent absent while only 15 percent of their salaries were paid. “The absence period must be 100 percent, the salary is only 15 percent,” he said.
