Now only a few hours are left for Holi-Dhuleti festival. Then a huge crowd of passengers is seen at the railway station to go home from Surat. Arrangements have been made by the Railway Police to ensure that there is no chaos at the station. All precautionary measures have been taken to prevent recurrence of the incident that happened before Diwali. People were made to stand in line and allowed to enter the train by the police.
A passenger said that I am a resident of Bhagalpur. We come to Gujarat and work as labourers. At present there are many difficulties in traveling by train. We have been standing in the queue for the last 24 hours but are not getting a seat. We request the Prime Minister to start daily train facility from Surat to Bhagalpur.
Western Railways is also running additional trains on the occasion of Holi and Dhuleti. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, more than 30 lakh seats are being made available in trains for passengers. For this, 1098 special trains including 571 Holi trains are being run. Arrangements have been made at the station for the convenience of the passengers. It is being monitored 24/7.
