Surat: Municipal Corporation will lay secondary treated water lines for industries in Palsana at a cost of Rs 43 crore. Loktej Surat News

After Sachin and Pandesara, now Surat Municipal Corporation has started the exercise of providing secondary treated (tertiary treated) water to the industries of Palsana. 100 MLD treated water will be provided in phases to Enviro Protection Limited at Palsana. This operation will cost Surat Municipal Corporation Rs 43 crore and for this, Surat Municipal Corporation will get 50 percent of the total capital expenditure as per the government policy.

To save clean water and reuse dirty water by treating it, a treated water recycling policy has been made by the government. Under this policy, Surat Municipal Corporation is supplying treated water to the industries of Pandesara and Sachin. The current policy made by the government is that the government pays 50 percent of the capital expenditure incurred by the municipal corporation for such projects. Under this policy, Surat Municipal Corporation is now making efforts to supply treated water from Varachha Pumping Station to the industrial cluster of Enviro Protection Limited (PEPL) at Palsana in the coming days. Under this operation, the Tender Standing Committee has given approval for laying the transmission line.

The operation and maintenance work has been entrusted to Hindustan Fabrication.
