The goal is to establish Turkey’s largest technology base in the capital. Ankara Chamber of Industry started working to establish the Ankara Technology Base. ASO President Seyit Ardıç explained why that step was taken.
“As ASO, we set out to establish Turkey’s largest technology base in order to transform this potential of our capital into high added value. We have started our work for the ASO Ankara Technology Base, which will be located in an area of 1 million 200 square meters on the Eskişehir road, where industrial zones and universities in Ankara are concentrated. ASO Ankara Technology Base will accelerate the transformation necessary for our country to achieve a high value-added economy. “A basis will be created to increase our technology exports per employee from 15 dollars to 35 thousand dollars.”
Ardıç also said that the technology base will benefit employment. “The ecosystem created by the technology base will also create employment opportunities for thousands of engineers and scientists.”
ASO President also said that a strong staff has been established for Ankara Technology Base. “We have established a strong staff that will invest in both people and technology. Tübitak will also support our work with the Ministry of Industry with its projects. We foresee that with this qualified structure, the technology base will finance itself by attracting international funds and companies to the region.”
