REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor, stated that implementing a joint homecoming for workers/laborers can increase their work productivity. He conveyed this when releasing his Happy Homecoming with Scania at PT United Tractors Tbk, Cakung, East Jakarta, Friday (5/4/2024).
“With the company’s attention to all of you, ladies and gentlemen, your enthusiasm for work will certainly improve your performance,” said Afriansyah.
Afriansyah also expressed his appreciation to PT United Tractors and other companies which held a homecoming together for their workers/laborers. Apart from being a form of harmonious industrial relations, going home together will also increase the joy of the workers/labourers in meeting their families.
According to Afriansyah, this will provide benefits for all parties. Workers/laborers feel helped to return to their hometowns. On the other hand, the company will gain benefits in the form of increased productivity from workers/laborers upon returning from their hometowns.
“Use this holiday opportunity to stay in touch. Take care of your health, stay safe, and the time will come, God willing, to return to Jakarta and hopefully all of you will be healthy and safe,” said Afriansyah to the travelers.
The Joint Homecoming which was held at PT United Tractors Cakung consisted of 17 buses with final destinations in 4 provinces, namely Central Java-DIY, East Java, South Sumatra and Lampung. Apart from the head office, PT United Tractors also carried out homecoming departures together at 3 other points. This joint homecoming was attended by a total of 1,709 PT United Tractors workers/laborers and their families.
