In the Kherson region they plan to modify the flag and coat of arms of the region to bring them into line with the norms of Russian laws. TASS reports this with reference to the press service of the regional parliament.
It is noted that work on bills to modify the flag and anthem is being carried out by deputies of the Kherson Regional Duma together with representatives of the Regional Information Policy Department. Legislative acts will establish a description and procedure for their official use.
In addition, a working group was formed under the Committee on Legislation, Local Self-Government and Regulations to develop the document. The new coat of arms and flag will be registered and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation after the adoption of the necessary laws.
According to the press service, the current coat of arms and flag of the Kherson region operate by decree of the head of the military-civil administration. At the same time, the provisions of the region’s charter provide that the official symbols of the region, their description and procedure for use are established by the law of the region. The new symbols were finalized taking into account the recommendations of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
Previously, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation proposed giving maternity capital to children from Donbass and Novorossiya who lost their parents before the reunification of the regions with Russia.
