The punishment demanded for the woman who defrauded with the promise of sexual intercourse has been determined

Güler Ş., who was alleged to have committed fraud through online escort sites and advertisements, by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. An indictment was prepared against him with a request for imprisonment from 3 to 10 years for the crime of “fraud by using information systems, banks or credit institutions as a tool”.

According to the indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Erkan S. and Halil Ç called the phone number written on the photo on the escort site on the internet.

Two friends, who agreed to meet the woman on the phone at her home in exchange for sending 20 thousand lira to her account number, could not reach the woman after sending the money.

After the money was transferred to her account, the woman made fun of Erkan S. and Halil S. on the phone and blocked their phone numbers. Thereupon, the complainants filed a complaint alleging that they were defrauded with the promise of a relationship.

The owner of the account where the money transfer took place is Güler Ş. In his statement, he claimed that the account to which the complainants sent money belonged to him, that he lost his wallet containing his bank cards while he was on holiday in Kuşadası in September 2020, and that he did not cancel the card because he did not use it. Güler Ş claimed that he did not know the complainants, that he did not negotiate with anyone on the phone and did not ask for money.

In the indictment, in the letters requested from banks to confirm the suspect’s statements, it was noted that credit card debts were paid from the account belonging to Güler Ş many times between November 2020 and September 2023, and that it was determined that the suspect was an active user of the card.

It was also stated that the suspect requested the bank to unblock it because he could not withdraw the money that came to his account on various dates.

In the indictment, which also included the HTS records of the phone number with which Erkan S. and Halil Ç communicated, it was stated that the number with which the complainants contacted was changed through “number forwarding” and that the contact number belonged to a foreign national named AS.

The indictment also included the determination that the line through which the complainants communicated was based on Güler Ş’s residence address in Denizli on the date of the incident.

Request for up to 10 years in prison

In the indictment stating that Güler Ş used a so-called “potato line” registered in the name of a foreign national in order to hide himself, the following was recorded:

“As can be understood from the letters received from the banks, it was understood that the money subject to the complaint came to the account belonging to the suspect, and although the suspect claimed that he had lost his bank account card, the suspect’s credit card debts were paid from the account many times before and after the date of the action. Güler Ş’s statements are criminal and “When the evidence showing his intention to escape punishment and his connection with the concrete incident are evaluated together, it has been determined that the suspect committed the crime charged.”

In the indictment, it was requested that the suspect be sentenced to imprisonment from 3 to 10 years for the crime of “fraud by using information systems, banks or credit institutions as a tool”.
