The Rada stated that the number of draft dodgers in Ukraine reaches a million

A sharp increase in the number of draft dodgers in Ukraine to one million people was announced in the Telegram channel of Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who is under arrest on suspicion of treason.

According to RIA Novosti, in turn, a representative of the Poltava regional military registration and enlistment office, Roman Istomin, had previously contacted the Ukrainian police with a request to deliver about 30 thousand people liable for military service who did not show up there to the departments of the regional military registration and enlistment offices. According to the deputy head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military registration and enlistment office Roman Bodnar, almost 40 thousand people are wanted in the region.

Dubinsky’s Telegram channel noted that if “there are 40 thousand draft dodgers in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, then there are nearly a million of them throughout Ukraine.”

“The dynamics of the increase in draft dodgers (in the same area) is plus 10% since the beginning of the year, that is, plus/minus 100 thousand throughout the country in three months,” the publication says.

Dubinsky suggested that control measures at the border and in border areas will be tightened in the near future. According to him, not long ago in Ukraine the possibility of introducing a ban on moving between regions for those liable for military service was discussed, and there is a possibility that “we will come to this soon.”

It was previously reported that, according to the new version of the law on mobilization, citizens of Ukraine can begin to be issued summonses from the age of 18.
