These are the 14 names who will become representatives of the people of West Sumatra in the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The West Sumatra General Election Commission (KPU) last weekend completed the vote recapitulation for the 2024 Legislative General Election. As a result, there are 14 names who will be representatives of the people of West Sumatra in the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period. Of the 14 people, half are new faces.

The new faces from electoral district (Dapil) I West Sumatra are Zigo Rolanda from the Golkar Party, Rahmat Saleh from PKS, Shadiq Pasadigoe from the Nasdem Party, and Rico Alviano from PKB. Then from Dapil II West Sumatra there are Arizal Aziz from PAN, Cindy Monica Salsabila from the Nasdem Party and Benny Utama from the Golkar Party.

The legislative candidates who succeeded in retaining their seats in Senayan for West Sumatra I were Lisda Hendrajoni from the Nasdem Party, Andre Rosiade from the Gerindra Party, Athari Gauthi from PAN. Then another name is Alex Indra Lukman from PDIP, even though he lost in 2019, he has already sat in the DPR RI for the 2014-2019 period.

From the West Sumatra II electoral district, the candidates who won were Nevi Zuairina from PKS and Ade Rizki Pratama from the Gerindra Party. Mulyadi from the Democratic Party, although not a civil servant, sat in the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period for approximately a year before resigning because he took part in the West Sumatra gubernatorial election.

Then, there were nine DPR RI candidates who were confirmed to have failed to return to Senayan. They are John Kenedy Azis from the Golkar Party, Muhammad Iqbal from PPP, Guspardi Gaus from PAN, Rezka Oktoberia from the Democratic Party, Suir Syam from the Gerindra Party, Darul Siska from the Golkar Party, Hermanto from PKS, Asli Chaidir from PAN and Darizal Basir from the Democrats .
