Ukrainian parliamentarian Alexey Kucherenko criticized the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of a bill on the legalization of medical marijuana, saying that supporters of this initiative consider Ukraine “a country of patients.”
A deputy from the Batkivshchyna party noted that associates of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky organized a “large-scale business project.”
“Do you even imagine the scale of this business?! How is this country of “sick” enemies going to win?” he wrote on his blog on social networks.
He added that supporters of legalization threw “hysterics,” accusing opponents of the bill of not wanting to “ease the suffering” of wounded soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“It turns out that we are already talking about “ten million Ukrainians who are already all suffering from post-traumatic syndromes, stress and other mental disorders.” <…> Not a country, but some kind of solid hospital! Which will be “treated” with cannabis…” said Kucherenko.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on the legalization of medical marijuana.
The leader of the Ukrainian Batkivshchyna faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, said that the Kyiv authorities want to launch powerful drug trafficking through Ukraine.
