USA, a partner in massacres by selling bombs, stated that Israel has the right to defend itself

At the daily press briefing, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller answered questions about the Biden administration’s approval of the sale of new warplanes and unguided bombs to Israel in recent weeks.

Noting that the USA fundamentally supports Israel’s security and will continue to do so, Miller stated that they provide annual military aid of 3.3 billion dollars and that many arms sales approvals have been made with Tel Aviv long ago.

Miller claimed that the sales approvals for the F-35 and MK-84 and MK-82 unguided bombs in question had been made in the past, and since the notifications had already been made, they did not have to make a separate statement to Congress and the public each time.

Noting that this “was a routine practice”, Miller argued that it had nothing to do with the attacks in Gaza.

Asked whether it was a coincidence that the sale approvals of the weapons in question coincided with this period, Miller said: “I am not saying it is a coincidence. Israel is currently in an active military conflict, when you are like this, you will deplete your military stocks.” He merely replied:

The US spokesperson did not answer the question of whether there was a request from Israel to purchase new weapons in the near future, and did not evaluate the news that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant requested new weapons during his last visit to Washington.

“ARE THE 900 KILOGUE BOMBS FOR DEFENSE PURPOSES?”

On the other hand, Miller asked a reporter, “Are 900-kilogram bombs used for defensive purposes?” While answering the question, he argued that Israel used them “for defensive purposes” and “in accordance with international law” against Iran, Hezbollah and similar threats, or kept them in stock for this purpose.

Stating that they have told their Israeli interlocutors many times that too many civilians are killed in Israel’s military “operations” and that this is an important issue, Miller said, “We are telling Israel that they need to do better in their military operations and that they should consider minimizing civilian losses.”

F-35 AND UNGUIDED BOMB SHIPMENT TO ISRAEL

The American Washington Post (WP) newspaper, in its report based on unnamed Pentagon and State Department officials, stated that the Biden administration had recently approved new arms shipments to Israel.

In the news, it was stated that the Biden administration made the transfers in question in accordance with previous Congressional notifications, this time without notifying Congress or announcing them to the public.

Accordingly, it was stated that the US administration, without disclosing to the public, approved the sale of 25 F-35s and aircraft engines to Israel, which continues its attacks in Gaza, as well as the sending of 1800 MK84 unguided bombs and 500 MK82 unguided bombs.

It is stated that the MK84 bombs dropped by Israel on Gaza, with their weight of around 900 kilos and devastating damage, played a major role in civilian casualties. Similarly, the 220-pound MK82 bombs are defined as bombs dropped indiscriminately because they are unguided.
