“With the quick and stealthy action of the agents at the place where the shots were fired, seven vehicles occupied by 14 people were intercepted at the exit of the property,” the Civil Guard points out in a statement, adding that the poachers They were surprised with a total of 14 firearms (seven rifles and seven shotguns), ammunition and hunting utensils from fixed positions. In addition to the firearms, they were transporting five dogs and three wild boars that they had supposedly just shot.
Proceedings have been filed against all of them for an alleged crime against flora and fauna for poaching when they were hunting illegally without authorization. The case is being handled by the Investigative Court of Herrera del Duque (Badajoz).
Article 87.1 6 Law 14/2010 on Hunting in Extremadura classifies this type of crime as a very serious offense, which can be punished with a fine of up to 50,000 euros and the withdrawal of the hunting license or the disqualification from obtaining it for two to five years.
