2 new routes of pink bus service will start from April 19

Provincial Transport Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced to start 2 new routes of People’s Pink Bus Service in Karachi from April 19.
An important meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, in which Secretary Transport Asad Zaman and Managing Director (MD) Kamal Dayo of Sindh Mass Transit Authority also participated.
In the meeting, it was also decided to add 10 new buses to the pink bus service.
During the meeting, the provincial minister said that the new routes of the pink bus service will be inaugurated from April 19, while the people’s bus service will also be started for the people of Mirpurkhas from April 20.
He said that to provide relief to the passengers, cashless automated fare collection smart card service will also be started from April 25, through which automatic fare collection can be done.
He said that affordable and comfortable bus service throughout Sindh is the vision of the leadership of People’s Party and the government of Sindh, new employment opportunities will be provided with a strong transport network and economic activities will also be promoted.
He directed that the transport projects should be completed soon so that the people can get relief.
In the meeting, various transport projects Red Line BRT, Green Line and Yellow Line were also discussed in detail.
It may be noted that a special bus for women, pink bus service is currently running on route R1 from Model Colony Malir to Shahrah Faisal, Tower.
