A couple from Valencia, accused of subjecting their daughter and granddaughter to sexual abuse for years

The Prosecutor’s Office requests sentences totaling 25 years in prison for the couple formed by Julio NR and Juana AL El first, as the perpetrator of two continuous crimes of sexual abuse and another of exhibitionism, facing a possible 15 years in prison. His wife, also considered the author of the events for not reporting them, faces a prosecutor’s request for 10 years in prison. Also on the court table, a request for more than 100,000 euros in compensation for the two victims.

The endless rosary of abuses that had not come to light until now became known in November 2021. It was then when the couple’s granddaughter, a minor who also suffers from a disability, revealed at the age of 16 the horror she supposedly suffered at the hands of from his grandfather since he was eight. The minor’s complaint served to unmask the torture that the girl’s aunt, and at the same time the daughter of the couple, also suffered: more than four decades of suffering abuse, touching and lascivious behavior by the accused.

The minor’s story is chilling. She points out how her grandfather took advantage of her being alone at home with her to subject her to groping and other sexual acts on the couch. It happened in the living room of the home. The defendant’s wife was also there, often asleep after watching her TV. “Shut up, don’t let the IAIA find out,” the accused snapped at his granddaughter, as the prosecutor recounts in his description.

There is no evidence that Juana A. was aware of these events. This is what the prosecutor recognizes. But the hell suffered by her own daughter. She reported the events after learning that her niece had suffered the same horror. She then gathered courage and went to the police. Even though her own mother, the accused’s wife, had pushed her back many times. “He asked her not to do it and put verbal pressure on her,” according to the prosecutor. That behavior is the basis of the accusation against her wife.

The daughter experienced an ordeal from the age of 10, when she suffered the first abuse, until she was 43. Not even leaving home and getting married at the young age of 19 saved her from horror. Her father took advantage of her when she went to clean her marriage home to subject her to new humiliations and even masturbate in front of her. The victim tried many times to get her mother to defend her. The only thing she got was “for her to insult her husband and force her daughter to hide it.”

Touching, fellatio, exhibition acts… the string of abuse to which the daughter was subjected is endless. And always with the complicit silence of her mother. But all she did was berate her husband. Especially harsh and representative is a phrase with which the prosecutor summarizes the attitude of the couple after many of these acts of sexual abuse and despite the victim’s requests for help: “He limited himself to pulling up his zipper and the mother placed him clothes well for the girl.

The couple’s daughter has since suffered from a constant anxiety disorder and depressed mood, in addition to having “chronicized psychological damage due to hiding the sexual abuse over time.” The Prosecutor’s Office also aggravates the defendant’s conduct because he took advantage of her granddaughter’s disability as a factor with which to subject her to her alleged depraved sexual behavior.

The case is waiting for the defense brief of the two accused to be presented so that the order to open the trial can be issued at the Valencia Court. Justice will then decide on the years of hell suffered by the two women.
