In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a local resident for mistakenly reporting that an apartment in a high-rise building had been mined. The man could not adequately explain his actions.
This was reported in the press service of the capital police. The perpetrator faces up to six years in prison.
According to the law enforcement officers, the 112 line received a message that a bomb had been planted in an apartment of a multi-story building in the Dnipro district of Kyiv.
“At the indicated address, police patrols, the investigative and operative group of the territorial division of the police and representatives of specialized services immediately arrived. During the inspection of the premises, no dangerous objects were found. At the scene of the incident, law enforcement officers found out that a 52-year-old man from Kiev made the report about the landmine. The man acted adequately I couldn’t explain,” the press service clarified.
Criminal proceedings were opened on this fact, and the detainee was informed of the suspicion.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, a train was stopped in the Belotserkovskiy district of the Kyiv region due to reports of landmines. No dangerous objects were found, and the “miner”, as it turned out, was in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication.
