A prisoner who escaped from prison was arrested for a sexual assault and robberies in homes in the province of Toledo

The Civil Guard, after an extensive operational device in the vicinity of the town of Pantoja and Bargashas proceeded to the arrest of a 35-year-old man, escaped from prison after a prison leavefor several robberies with force and a sexual assault in several homes in the Toledo towns of Bargas, Olas del Rey and La Puebla de Montalbón.

According to the Civil Guard in a press release, at the end of last year an investigation began into robbery crimes with force inside the home, in more than four homes in the towns of Bargas and Olas del Rey, where unknown perpetrators managed to steal jewelry, money and electronic devicesamong other effects.

The detainee was known for his great danger, accumulating a record of more than 160 crimes of different kinds and almost 50 arrests.

A month later the same events were repeated in the same locations, but this time in one of the homes in Olas del Rey, where the residents, a septuagenarian couple who were inside, were intimidated and threatened by a personwhich pointed at them with a short weapon while he stole their jewelry and money.

Continuing with the investigation, we learned of a crime of robbery with violence or intimidation and a crime of sexual assault in a home in the town of La Puebla de Montalbn. From the complaint filed by two women, it was possible to deduce that a person had robbed at gunpoint and bean sexually assaulted to one of them.

After these events, agents from the Civil Guard’s Roca Team and the Territorial Judicial Police Team of Illescas began ‘Operation Meganto-Sing’, finding out that the alleged perpetrator of the events had escaped from prison after a prison leave.

Once the author has been identified, at the time of his arrest, He fled in his vehicle, trying to run over one of the civil guards acting and damaging an official vehicle..

That same afternoon he was located again and was arrested driving a vehicle that had falsified registration plates and chassis numbersthe vehicle appearing as stolen.

The result of all the research culminated in the arrest of a dangerous criminalin the vicinity of his town of residence and placed at the disposal of the Court of First Instance and Instruction of Illescas, from where the admission to prison of this person who was fleeing from justice.

For the development of the operation, there was the collaboration of the Civil Guard of the towns of Bargas, Villaluenga, Olas del Rey, Torrijos and the Traffic Research and Analysis Group (GIAT) of the Civil Guard of Castilla-La Mancha.
