A serious cyclist in a traffic accident in Teror

In a tragic event that occurred this Thursday, a 46 year old man has been seriously injured in a traffic accident recorded on the GC-21, at kilometer 15, in the municipality of Teror, in Gran Canaria. According to the report from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2, the incident took place around 9:30 a.m.
The Cecoes received a warning call indicating that a vehicle had hit a bicycle after leaving the road, then crashing down an embankment and fall into a ditch. Given the seriousness of the incident, the necessary emergency resources were immediately activated to address the situation.
The man was treated at the scene by the medical services of the SUC and the area’s Health Center and later with the collaboration of the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium Firefighters, the affected person was evacuated to the ambulance and, transferred in serious condition to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
To the place they moved firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium, a basic life support ambulance and another medical ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), a doctor from the Teror Health Center; Local Police, and Civil Guard.
