Apple plans to release new iPad Pro in May

Apple suppliers have increased production volumes of the long-awaited new iPads, the presentation of which is scheduled for early May.
The release will focus on updated versions of the iPad Pro S and iPad Air, writes Bloomberg with reference to its own sources.

The iPad Air with the M1 chip was last updated in 2022. It will get a new processor, and the screen size of 12.9 inches means that buyers will be able to buy a large iPad for less money than the more expensive Pro model.
“Apple planned to release new iPads by the end of March or the beginning of April, but the company is working on completing the development of software for the devices. The screens in the latest models also require new complex production technologies, which was the reason for the delay,” the publication notes.
The release in early May will take place about a month before the next major Apple event. On June 10, the corporation plans to start its weekly developer conference. Apple is expected to present an updated Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence, as well as software updates for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Vision Pro headsets.
