TPO – Gia Lam district People’s Council has approved the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025 with 6 newly established administrative units. Similarly, the People’s Council of Thach That district also approved the plan to establish 3 new communes.
On the morning of April 10, at the 15th meeting, the People’s Council of Gia Lam district (Hanoi) approved the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025. According to the plan, Gia Lam district will have 6 new administrative units established after completing the merger.
Specifically: Yen Vien commune and Yen Vien town will be merged into a new administrative unit, Yen Vien town; merge Phu Dong commune and Trung Mau commune into Phu Dong commune; Merge Dinh Xuyen commune and Duong Ha commune into Thien Duc commune; Merging Kim Son commune and Phu Thi commune into Phu Son commune; merged Dong Du commune and Bat Trang commune into Bat Trang commune; merged Kim Lan commune and Van Duc commune into Kim Duc commune.
In addition, 4 units in Gia Lam urban area, including: Trau Quy town, Duong Xa, Kieu Ky, and Da Ton communes, partially adjusted their administrative boundaries.

On the same day, at the 16th meeting, the People’s Council of Thach That district also approved a plan to arrange commune-level administrative units in Thach That district.
Accordingly, in the period 2023-2025, the district has 6 administrative units that must be rearranged, including communes: Di Nau, Canh Nau, Chang Son, Thach Xa, Huu Bang, Binh Phu.
Specifically: Merging Di Nau commune and Canh Nau commune into a new administrative unit called Lam Son commune; Merging Chang Son commune and Thach Xa commune into Thach Xa commune; merged Huu Bang commune and Binh Phu commune into Quang Trung commune.
