At what age is the best time to send a child to kindergarten – Maria Sychynskaya – psychologist’s advice | My school

Maria Sychynskaya, a Ukrainian expert on education and family relations, explained that it is better to send a child to kindergarten when the parents are ready to immerse themselves in the adaptation process. Also, she draws attention to the necessary knowledge that adults should have, regarding the facilitation of such a period in a baby’s life.
The psychologist told about this on Instagram. She noted that adaptation to a preschool educational institution does not depend on the age of the child, but on the wishes, needs and capabilities of the parents.
“Here it depends not on the age of the child, but on the desires, needs and capabilities of the parents. I have a lot of clients who adapted the child for literally one and a half years, and everything went perfectly. And there are also clients who adapted at the age of five. And everything went perfectly, too. It depends on how many parents are willing to really dive into the adaptation process and how much they know enough to make this adaptation process easier for the child.” – noted the education expert.
As a reminder, Sychynskaya said that it is important for children to communicate with other preschoolers, but it is not necessary to go to kindergarten for the whole day. According to her, if parents need free time, then a preschool would be a good option. However, a few hours spent with peers on playgrounds or clubs will be enough for babies. The main thing is to have a stable team.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that they want to open kindergartens in offices in Ukraine.
